Hybrid – Buffalo, NYMoog's Corporate Group is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer – Platform Automation & DevOps to join our Information Technology Team!
As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, automation, and lifecycle management of Moog's enterprise Cloud platforms. You will serve as a technical leader and Cloud subject matter expert, driving platform standardization, automation, resiliency, and DevOps best practices across Azure and AWS environments.
Non-Moog applicants must live local to the Buffalo, NY area, be willing to relocate, and be able to support a hybrid work schedule (3 days a week) at Moog's East Aurora headquarters.
Moog applicants outside of the Buffalo, NY area may continue to report into their current location without needing to relocate.
To qualify for the Senior Cloud Engineer role, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...
Typically, a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Five (5)+ years of IT experience with at least three (3)+ years of hands-on Cloud engineering experience
Strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting scalable Cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure, AWS a plus.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and/or CloudFormation
Strong experience with CI/CD platforms including Azure DevOps and GitHub
Knowledge of Cloud automation and platform engineering best practices
Experience implementing Disaster Recovery and resiliency solutions
Experience with Azure App Services and Serverless technologies
Experience supporting enterprise platforms running critical business workloads
Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or other complex enterprise environments preferred
Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, and/or AZ-400 preferred
Familiarity with data integration and transformation services
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Containerization technologies a plus
Experience with security and architecture best practices in Cloud environments
Understanding of system interoperability, distributed systems, connectivity and integrations with Cloud Platforms
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent documentation, communication and collaboration abilities
As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will…
Design, architect, implement, and manage Cloud infrastructure and services across Azure and AWS environments
Design and deploy enterprise Cloud platforms and landing zones utilizing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code methodologies
Develop reusable automation frameworks, modules, and deployment pipelines to standardize Cloud implementations
Drive end-to-end automation of infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and operational workflows
Establish and promote "manage through code" practices to improve consistency, scalability, and operational excellence
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps, GitHub, and related DevOps technologies
Implement GitOps and automated deployment strategies for infrastructure and applications
Integrate testing, validation, and security controls into automated deployment workflows
Lead Cloud architecture initiatives including landing zones, network connectivity, platform integrations, and migration efforts
Optimize Cloud environments for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
Improving the company’s resiliency and recovery capabilities by aligning Cloud solutions with business continuity and recovery plans
Enablement of the business and application teams through self-service Cloud capabilities
Perform root cause analysis and lead technical investigations for complex Cloud-related issues
Partner with application, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver integrated Cloud solutions
Establish technical standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Cloud Engineering function
Support strategic projects and business-critical applications across the enterprise
Influence Moog's Cloud platform strategy, roadmap, and Cloud Smart initiatives

Salary Range Transparency:

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
