Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehab

Hourly Pay Range:

$26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position:  Exercise Physiologist
• Location: Highland Park
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Department is open 630a-530p
• Schedule: M-F, 4 days per week  (3- 10.5 hours and 1- 8.5 hours), Day off TBD (and may fluctuate).
• No weekends or holidays

What you will need:

• Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education).   Emphasis in exercise physiology preferred.
  • No previous experience required but preferred.

• Certifications:
  • Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire)

What you will do:

Develops, organizes and conducts individualized exercise programs for cardiac patients to improve cardiovascular fitness and encourage home-based exercise continuation.  In doing so, develops exercise programs based on participants' needs, arranges logistics of classes, conducts programs and classes, monitors participant during programs, and provides partici­pants with educational material.
