OVERVIEW

Our Programmatic Account Managers are responsible for the success of their accounts within areas under within their portfolio, including managing the output of junior members working under them and supporting the professional development of their direct reports. They’re also responsible for fuelling client growth through the development of bespoke programmatic strategies on their accounts. This role requires building strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality campaign delivery and strategy, identifying growth opportunities, and fostering team development.

This role has 4 primary outcomes

  • Client Success: Clients are achieving their goals and understand the direction and strategy in all areas owned by the Manager. Client relationships are strong with good retention and positive feedback.
  • Market-Leading Account Strategy: Campaigns are executed to a high standard, adhering to best practices and achieving performance goals. There is a proactive and innovative approach to their accounts, with a vision for future testing and growth.
  • Client Growth: Existing clients managed by the Manager or their team are growing, through expansion of current scope or launch of relevant new services. New business is won through their valuable contribution to pitches.
  • Team Management & Development: Direct reports are performing to a high standard and are supported in their development. The wider team feels supported across any shared accounts and tasks are managed effectively. The Manager supports the knowledge growth of the whole team through sharing and training.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationships:

  • Own and nurture strong relationships with client contacts, with a professional and proactive approach that is bespoke to their needs.
  • Ensure clients receive proactive updates on performance, actions and strategy to support growth of the account.
  • Manage communications within their area of responsibility, ensuring communications are in line with client needs and valuable.
  • Confidently and clearly communicate strategic outcomes, insights, and recommendations in calls and meetings, ensuring the value we are adding is crystal clear to the client.
  • Act as a point of escalation for client queries or issues.
  • Immerse themselves into the business on key clients, with a strong understanding of their business, priorities, competitors and product.

Account Management & Strategy:

  • Ensure the setup, implementation, and ongoing management of campaigns and budgets is to a high standard, aligned with best practices and meeting client goals.
  • QA processes are implemented and followed to ensure high quality execution.
  • Ensure the rollout of our proposition across accounts, including effective use of our proprietary technology.
  • Complete forecasts for existing clients as accurately as possible, utilising templates and all data sources available.
  • Ensure there is a clear, forward-looking plan in place for the programmatic strategy within their portfolio, aligned with client size, goals and advancing long term growth.
  • On smaller accounts, lead on overall account strategy, ensuring client satisfaction across Incubeta services.
  • Proactively roll out new tests and ideas intended to improve performance, and effectively analyse and communicate conclusions and next steps.
  • Independently and successfully manage large client projects within their remit on their accounts.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our programmatic proposition and best practices.
  • Support our external brand through marketing collateral.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of programmatic platform, industry or wider digital marketing changes that may impact activity (eg new features or updates in feeds or creative), and proactively feedback to clients and include these within the strategy where relevant.
  • Ensure smaller accounts owned by their direct reports are managed to a high standard, achieving performance goals and maximising GP.

Identifying Growth Opportunities:

  • Has an understanding of the services offered by Incubeta and supports client growth through cross-sells of additional services or increasing existing scope or budgets.
  • Supports in identifying and selling similar opportunities on smaller accounts owned by their team members.
  • Identify opportunities for new avenues of GP, eg. new products, tools, dashboards or commercialising existing solutions.
  • Leads strategy for smaller new business proposals, and supports the new business team on a story which demonstrates value for our clients.
  • Works alongside senior members of the team on strategy creation for large new business proposals, including impactful audit insights and forecasts.

Team Management & Development:

  • Support direct reports with their professional development, providing regular constructive feedback and setting clear expectations for their performance. Any performance challenges are managed professionally and effectively, seeking support and advice from their managers when needed.
  • Supporting direct reports in achievement of their OKRs, in line with business goals, with monthly check ins to review progress.
  • Support direct reports and junior team members working on their accounts with prioritisation where relevant, in line with urgency of tasks and client priority.
  • Balanced and clear delegation of tasks and workload amongst the junior team on shared accounts.
  • Share efficiencies, learnings and strategies from their accounts with the wider team to support broader development.
