Responsibilities
Responsible to inventory control received goods and stock goods and merchandise for the Retail Operations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Receive merchandise and provide courteous and competent services to outside vendors, customers, delivery personnel, etc.
- Reconcile, match, and summarize merchandise received with invoice.
- Verify invoices and update merchandise items.
- Participate in physical inventory and cycle counting activities as required.
- Input inventory items in computer system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
- Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., computer, 10-key, copier, fax, and telephone).
- Computer literate in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Education or equivalent preferred.
- Previous Inventory experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in designated areas of the hotel. Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSRequires mobility. Requires prolonged standing and walking. Ability to grasp, lift, and carry supplies weighing a maximum of 50 pounds.
