Description
Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Quality Manager.
## What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Deploys, improves and leads Eaton’s Reynosa Quality Management System in order to satisfy customer expectations and requirements, ensuring product specifications and quality, keeping an effective Quality System in Eaton. This position has the responsibility and authority to represent the plant management and customers per IATF 16949:2016 definition. The Quality Manager is in charge of developing and deploying all quality processes to meet customer requirements with the purpose of exceeding their expectations and ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines from Eaton and any applicable Industry requirements for all products for low voltage and high voltage areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Develop and deploy Processes, Techniques, Quality systems and procedures for Incoming Inspection, Manufacturing, Final Audit, Supplier Quality Management, etc.
B. Involvement in Pro-Launch process and gate reviews and approvals for new products introductions.
C. Communicates with customers and leads quality Engineering team during problem resolution processes.
D. Participates with cross functional team to assess and develop process control plans that ensures quality level expected by customers.
E. Key contributor for EBE/OPA assessments and participates in leading EBE/OPA day to day culture.
F. Coordinates and controls: Implementation of activities related to Quality Systems, Production Part Approval Process, Manage Customer complaints and problem resolution systems, Lead Supplier Quality Management and Development activities.
G. Lead plant activities to achieve plant objectives related to Quality Performance for External and Internal metrics, Customer Satisfaction, CONC, OTD, and Productivity.
H. Lead Quality engineering department and involved in plant quality related activities.
I. Assists to assigned trainings by the HR department.
J. Supports achieving plant objectives and Profit Plans.
K. Development training plans to direct employees.
L. Has the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.
## Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.
- Engineering Degree
- Master degree preferable
- ASQ Certifications
- Problem Solving experience
- Six Sigma knowledge
- Knowledge and experience in QMS, Quality standards (ISO, IS/TS-16949).
- Software packages skills.
- Fluent in English/Spanish (conversational & written).

## Functional Competencies:

Knowledge and experience in the process value stream, specifications, equipment, cycle time and capabilities. Competencies considered include, electrical circuit design, programmable controllers, safety interlock circuitry, lock out tag out, isolation of potential energy, ergonomics and material handling methods and procedures. Experience and knowledge with Hazardous Materials and Workplace Exposure including chemical use and storage, gases, noises, dust, fumes, vapors, and ventilation considerations. External Requirements. The competency of knowledge, practice and application of the Product/ Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification Bodies, Industry specific Regulatory Authorities and Customers contractually specified Quality Requirements.
Product/ Process Quality Planning. The ability to strategically define the Critical to Quality elements of a product/process, and the knowledge to effectively analyze, assess and mitigate the risks associated with any potential failures.
Quality Leadership. The knowledge of quality management systems and support practices. This competency includes the ability to efficiently and effectively assess performance, set strategy aligned with the business and use metrics to drive continuous improvements.
