Description
Position Summary:
This is a new role aiming to break apart core human resources functions into its own role and then formalize those HR functions, administer a temp staffing program for a major client, lead our ISO 9001 QSM program, aid in compliance oversight for a small business, and offer support for payroll processing. The position requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently and help define standards for an HR position while also collaborating with team members when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
- Project Administrator for a VMS client, running a full cycle of services as their main point of contact, from initial inquiries to screening, onboarding, database maintenance and payment.
- Monitor timecards and prepare payroll data file for VMS client.
- Coordinate and develop programs to enhance employee experience and retention – SWAG, company announcements, employee discounts/benefits.
- Annual benefit renewal and open enrollment.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide HR support.
- Develop and update policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Support our 2 internal recruiters.
- Assistance with PEO case requests such as TPA registrations in new states.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001, our QSM system, including ability to educate employees and handle external certification audits.
- Review job postings for local and state disclosure compliance and screen for CUI.
- Prepares and reviews contracts for new customers, subcontractors, vendors and employees.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist with general office administration as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in Human Resource positions.
- Strong knowledge of HR procedures so that you could identify needs and implement changes.
- Experience with payroll processing.
- Experience with QSM systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
- Local and willing to be on site periodically at our office in Chesterland, 8 minutes from the 271 and 322 exit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
- Experience in federal contracting or IT industry HR and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (JobDiva), QuickBooks, and HRIS/PEO platforms (ADP).
