Hiring Unit: Department of Biology (Professor Nam Sung Moon)
Position Summary:
- Prepares and processes Drosophila tissues for downstream analyses.
- Assists with the analysis of research data.
- Performs immunofluorescence staining on whole-mount tissues.
- Conducts whole-mount in situ hybridization experiments.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education/Experience:
- McGill Student.
- Hands-on experience working with Drosophila melanogaster.
- Experience with molecular techniques.
- Experience with Drosophila genetics and genetic crossing schemes.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis of biological data.
Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (3) qualifier on a scale of 0-4.
