The Position
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the AI Platforms and Services Team, helping to build and evolve Roche's internal AI Agentic Platform - a platform that enables teams to design, build, run, evaluate, and scale AI agents and agentic workflows across the enterprise.
- Build and evolve platform capabilities that enable teams to design, run, monitor, and scale AI agents and agentic workflows.
- Develop reusable APIs, SDKs, connectors, templates, and developer tools for internal platform users.
- Contribute to platform architecture across orchestration, context, data access, governance, observability, and developer experience.
- Design AI-powered workflows using agent frameworks and orchestration tools such as AWS AgentCore, LangChain, LangGraph, n8n, Copilot Studio, CrewAI, or similar.
- Implement agentic patterns such as tool use, planning, routing, human-in-the-loop flows, memory, and multi-agent collaboration.
- Enable trusted enterprise grounding through RAG, semantic search, hybrid search, reranking, MCP connectors, knowledge systems, and enterprise APIs.
- Integrate agents with enterprise data sources, APIs, document repositories, workflow tools, knowledge bases, and business applications.
- Collaborate with data engineers, AI engineers, and architects to ensure integration patterns are scalable, secure, compliant, and reusable.
- Support safe access to structured and unstructured data, metadata, business context, and enterprise tools.
- Create reusable blueprints, templates, reference architectures, and starter kits for common AI agent use cases.
- Build high-impact Proof-of-Value solutions with business teams to demonstrate platform capabilities and validate business value.
- Translate PoV learnings into reusable platform patterns, components, documentation, and adoption guidance.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and hands-on support to developers, data scientists, and business technologists using the platform.
- Improve developer experience by simplifying platform usage, reducing friction, and creating clear examples and onboarding materials.
- Share knowledge through documentation, demos, internal events, technical sessions, and communities of practice.
- Apply software engineering best practices including testing, CI/CD, code review, documentation, monitoring, and maintainability.
- Implement secure, compliant, auditable, and responsible AI patterns for data access, tool use, agent behavior, and enterprise integration.
- Evaluate emerging agentic AI technologies and continuously improve platform capabilities, observability, evaluation, and feedback loops.
- Hold a B.Sc., B.Eng., M.Sc., or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Have 5-8 years hands-on on software engineering experience, ideally in AI, automation, cloud platforms, developer platforms, or enterprise application development.
- Have experience building AI-powered applications, GenAI solutions, workflow automations, or agent-based systems.
- Have an interest in AI and stay up to date with the latest advancements in agentic AI, LLM application development, data engineering, and AI platform engineering.
- Be team-oriented, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be detail-oriented, organized, and focused on delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.
