Summary:

The Supervisor, Medical Affairs–Credential Verification Organization (CVO) supports in overseeing the administrative and operational functions that contribute to the delivery of high quality clinical care across the organization. This role provides supervision and guidance to CVO staff, ensuring efficient daily operations, consistent service standards, and adherence to all regulatory and accreditation requirements related to provider credentialing. Serves as a resource to Medical Affairs Leaders across the system, Medical Staff, and hospital departments.

Responsibilities:

Assists with budget preparation and departmental accounting.Educates administrators and department directors regarding Memorial Healthcare Systems’ (MHS) CVO operations, privileging (including temporary and disaster privileging), credentialing, and approval of files.Assists with preparation and presentation of regulatory surveys for all healthcare system hospitals.Assists with preparation and dissemination of reports and departmental documents.Monitors completed appointment and reappointment credentialing files to ensure accuracy of established timeframes and those in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Joint Commission (JC), and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards.Maintains working knowledge of credentialing and privileging processes and related accreditation and regulatory standards.Assists with the hiring, training, coaching, counseling, developing, and retaining the Medical Affairs CVO Team. Supervises and serves as an advisor/mentor to new employees within the department.
