What You’ll Do
As an Orthotic Fitter, you’ll work directly with patients and providers to deliver customized orthotic solutions that improve comfort, stability, and mobility.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Evaluating patients under physician direction to determine appropriate orthotic solutions
• Measuring, fitting, adjusting, and modifying braces, splints, and orthopedic devices
• Educating patients and caregivers on proper use, wear schedules, and maintenance
• Collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation teams
• Monitoring patient progress and making adjustments to optimize comfort and function
• Maintaining accurate documentation while providing exceptional patient-centered care

Additional Job Description
Minimum Education, Experience & Certification Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an orthotic/prosthetic fitter training program or equivalent clinical experience
• Ability to accurately measure and fit orthotic and/or prosthetic devices
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and medical terminology
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to perform hands-on clinical fitting activities
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF) and/or Certified Prosthetic Fitter (CPF)
• Experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation, or academic medical center setting
• Experience working with amputee populations or complex orthotic cases
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
