Building Maintenance

Job Details:

High school diploma, GED, or 1-year of on-the-job training in a related field. Must have one year of experience or education in at least two (2) of the following building maintenance areas:  Carpentry,110-220-volt electrical, Concrete pour and finish, Vehicle repair, Pipe insulation, Painting Plumbing.  Must have a valid driver’s license. 

JOB DUTIES:

• MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE BUILDING MAINTENANCE, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, PAINTING, DRYWALLING AND REPAIR, SNOW REMOVEL AND LAWN CARE

• COMPLETE WORK ORDERS AND OTHER ASSIGNED TASKS AS DIRECTED BY THEIR SUPERVISOR.

• WORK WITH LITTLE OR NO SUPERVISION.

• ASSIST GENERAL MAINTENANCE AS NEEDED

• WORK VARIOUS HOURS WITH LITTLE OR NO NOTICE.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS, BOTH WRITTEN AND ORAL.

• MUST HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN TWO OF THE FOLLOWING:                         

CARPENTRY, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, DRYWALL, AND PAINTING

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to meet the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Successful candidates must have completed their 90-day probationary period, have less than 6 attendance points, and no discipline in the last 12 months resulting in suspension.
