Description
We are looking for a certified and engaging CPR Instructor to join our training team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in CPR, AED, and basic first aid to individuals and groups, ensuring participants gain the skills and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct CPR, AED, and first aid training courses in accordance with AHA, Red Cross, or other approved curriculum guidelines.
- Prepare class materials and ensure all equipment is clean, functioning, and set up properly before each session.
- Evaluate participants’ performance to ensure proper technique and understanding of life-saving procedures.
- Provide clear, concise instruction with emphasis on hands-on practice and real-world scenarios.
- Maintain accurate class records, attendance, and certification documentation.
- Stay current on industry best practices, certification requirements, and training techniques.
- Represent the organization professionally and positively at all training sites.
Qualifications:
- Current CPR Instructor certification preferred from a recognized provider (e.g., AHA, Red Cross, HSI).
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical or teaching background is a plus.
- Prior teaching or public speaking experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt to various learning styles.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to training sites as needed.
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on class scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate CPR techniques on the floor (e.g., kneeling, chest compressions).
- Ability to lift and transport training equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
