Description
This position pays $14.00 per hour.
Under general supervision of the Visit Frisco Director of Destination Services, the Visit Frisco Registration Clerk plays a crucial role in representing Frisco to meetings and convention meeting planners and their attendees. This position supports the Visit Frisco Destination Services Team to ensure meetings and convention planners have the necessary help to host a seamless and enjoyable event. All shifts are offered on a first-come first-served basis and will be posted via email with the required attire, parking information and on-site contact information. Each hired registration clerk will receive a Visit Frisco branded polo shirt, and a name badge. Hours and shifts will vary depending on need. Shifts can be at any Frisco hotel, venue, attraction or event.
The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by Visit Frisco Registration Clerks. This position may not be required to perform all duties in this description and may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.
· Has a passion for Frisco, our visitors, and customer service
· Greets meeting or convention on-site contact upon arrival for a shift to discuss shift responsibilities and duties.
· Assists Visit Frisco or meeting and convention staff with setup and teardown of Visit Frisco information tables or booths
· Must know or be willing to learn what Visit Frisco offers to meeting and convention planners such as official Frisco visitors guides, restaurant maps, etc.
· Must be able to answer general questions from visitors about Frisco dining and attractions.
Other Important Duties:
· May be required to work extended hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· May assist in developing, planning, implementing, and working events.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours is essential.
· Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
· Must possess basic computer and related equipment, hardware and software skills such as iPad, and smart phones
· Knowledge of City policies and procedures is a plus
· Ability to problem solve unforeseen issues before and during events
· Skilled in effective oral communications
Preferred Education, Experience, and Certifications:
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR check
· Must possess a valid State of Texas Driver's License
· Work can be performed in an office setting or at indoor/outdoor special event venues.
· May be exposed to extreme weather conditions during events
Equipment and Tools Utilized:
Equipment utilized includes computer, cell phones/ticket scanners, copier/scanner, and other standard office equipment, AV/Sound/Movie equipment, cleaning supplies, tents, golf carts, generators, general event equipment, and department vehicles.
