Description

Our client is seeking to add an experienced Commercial Trucking & Cargo Claims Adjuster to their growing Risk Management and Claims team in the Tulsa metro area. This position is responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving first-party and third-party Trucking, Cargo, and Commercial Auto Physical Damage claims from initial notice of loss through final resolution.
 
The ideal candidate will possess strong investigative and analytical skills, experience handling transportation-related claims, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal business partners, customers, vendors, and third parties. Experience handling Bodily Injury claims is a plus.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage Commercial Trucking, Cargo, and Bodily Injury claims from first notice of loss through closure.
  • Conduct thorough investigations by reviewing accident reports, repair estimates, photographs, statements, invoices, and other supporting documentation to determine liability, damages, and claim exposure.
  • Coordinate with independent adjusters, appraisers, engineers, restoration vendors, and other outside experts as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with claimants, customers, repair facilities, legal representatives, and internal departments throughout the life of each claim.
  • Evaluate damages and negotiate timely, equitable settlements within established authority levels.
  • Identify subrogation opportunities and pursue recoveries when appropriate
 
Requirements
  • Active Adjuster License required or the ability to obtain and maintain required licensing.
  • 2+ years of experience handling Trucking, Cargo, Inland Marine, Commercial Auto Physical Damage, or Transportation-related claims.
  • Bodily Injury claims experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of commercial transportation, logistics, or fleet operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office applications.
