The objective of this function is to support the building out of our operating and financial culture, behaviors, processes, rigor and expertise to deliver world class free cash flow conversion, efficient capital allocation and ROIC achievement. It focuses on improving cash flow and working capital performance by analyzing relevant key performance indicators, deriving concrete recommendations for action, supporting well-founded business decisions, and establishing clear responsibilities and control mechanisms in the areas of receivables management, inventory management, and liabilities. 

 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Management and continuous improvement of working capital performance across receivables, inventory, and payables, with a focus on optimizing key metrics such as DSO, DIOH, DPO, and the Cash Conversion Cycle. 

  • Conducting variance and root cause analyses, as well as developing concrete recommendations for action to improve operational performance and support decision-making. 

  • Identifying, initiating, and leading cross-functional initiatives and projects to sustainably improve cash flow and capital efficiency. 

  • Close collaboration with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement to develop and implement measures to optimize operating cash flow. 

  • Preparing and conducting regular performance reviews, as well as tracking agreed-upon actions and improvement initiatives. 

  • Engaging and collaborating with internal and, where applicable, external stakeholders to ensure a common understanding of objectives, key metrics, and measures. 

  • Preparing and managing operational cash flow forecasts, analyzing business developments, and deriving their impact on cash flow and return on invested capital (ROIC). 

  • Establishing and further developing governance structures, KPI frameworks, and operational management processes in line with the Target Operating Model, while ensuring implementation within the Business Unit. 

  • Performing financial analyses to support investment decisions and optimize capital allocation. 

  • Supporting the implementation and further development of systems, tools, and reporting solutions to improve data quality and management capabilities. 

 

 

Your Qualifications: 

  • Completed university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, or a related field of study 

  • Strong knowledge of working capital management, cash flow management, financial analysis, controlling, and performance management. 

  • Knowledge and at least 10 years of practical experience in analyzing and managing working capital metrics (DSO, DIOH, Inventory Turns, DPO, Cash Conversion Cycle, ROIC). 

  • Experience in conducting business analyses, root cause analyses, and developing measures to improve performance. 

  • Knowledge of governance models (e.g., Target Operating Model, KPI-based management, performance reviews) is desirable. 

  • Proficiency in using common ERP, reporting, and analytics systems (e.g., SAP, BI/reporting tools), as well as advanced Excel skills. 

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
