A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Privacy Manager reporting to Executive Manager Privacy.
A bit about your role
As the Senior Privacy Manager, you will provide expert leadership and advice on privacy risk management, assurance, and compliance, helping ensure nbn meets its regulatory obligations while building and maintaining the trust of customers and stakeholders. Partnering closely with teams across the organisation, you will guide the design and implementation of privacy initiatives, embed best-practice privacy frameworks and processes, and support the effective management of privacy risks and incidents. You will also represent the Privacy function in key forums, contribute to enterprise-wide decision making, and help shape a culture where privacy is considered an essential part of how we innovate, operate, and deliver for customers.
In this role, you will influence the development of solutions that address emerging privacy risks, including those arising from new technologies and evolving regulations. Through strong collaboration and a continuous improvement mindset, you will support strategic programs and operational initiatives that strengthen privacy maturity across nbn, ensuring privacy remains a core capability that enables innovation, transparency, and long-term business success.
A bit about you
You are an experienced privacy professional with a strong understanding of Australian privacy legislation, policy, and compliance obligations, ideally gained within a large commercial, government, or highly regulated environment. Capable of operating and influencing in complex matrix managed organisations, you bring the ability to effectively balance privacy risk with commercial and operational priorities, providing pragmatic advice that supports sound business outcomes. Your expertise enables you to navigate ambiguity, solve problems effectively, and develop practical solutions to complex privacy challenges.
You are collaborative, adaptable, and naturally build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. With highly developed communication, collaboration and influencing skills, you can confidently engage with senior leaders, translate complex concepts into clear advice, and drive outcomes through partnership and shared purpose. You are motivated by continuous improvement and are passionate about helping organisations create responsible, transparent, and customer-focused approaches to managing personal information.
Application Process
You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out. We are interested in transferable skills and your skills and perspective could be exactly what we would value to strengthen our team.
