Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:  

  • Perform statutory and regulatory research and complex administrative support functions.
  • Research history of current rulemaking cases and origin of procurement regulations. 
  • Research the impact of current and prospective information collection requirements on the public in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act. Track requirements and manage data in government information systems.
  • Prepare and proofread formal staffed packages.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, take meeting notes, record taskers and actions, and update the staff when necessary.
  • Prepare briefings as appropriate.
  • Manage multiple assignments from multiple people in busy work environment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This position requires an active security clearance at the Secret level. You must be a US citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • At least 10 years of work experience, preferably with or supporting DoD or other federal agency
  • Strong researcher with knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (title 48 Code of Federal Regulations, chapters 1 and 2)
  • Experience as a contracting officer or contracts specialist highly desired
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Expereince using SharePoint is preferred
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities

Target salary range: $90,620 - $135,754
