Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – IT Infrastructure to oversee and maintain our client's enterprise IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing servers, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, security systems, and end-user support while ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and maintain Windows Active Directory, Windows/Linux servers, and virtualization platforms (VMware & Hyper-V).
- Administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure, firewalls, system backups, disaster recovery, and database environments to ensure business continuity.
- Provide technical support for servers, desktops, laptops, network connectivity, and end-user IT issues while ensuring optimal system performance.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure security, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement infrastructure improvements and support IT projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in Systems Administration or IT Infrastructure within a medium to large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in Windows & Linux server administration, Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V, networking, Microsoft SQL Server, and firewall technologies (Palo Alto/Fortinet).
- Professional certifications such as MCSE, RHCE/RHCA, CCNA, or CCNP will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure and support critical infrastructure when required.
- Experience with HCL Domino and IBM AIX environments will be an added advantage.
- Preferred age range: 30–40 years.
