How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and supporting Epsilon’s global network infrastructure by designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network solutions across multiple datacenters and cloud environments. You’ll be part of a passionate team of network professionals, leveraging your deep expertise in routing, switching, load balancing, and network security to implement scalable, automated solutions that meet demanding 24x7x365 operational requirements. Your work will directly influence the performance and reliability of our internal and edge Internet/peering infrastructure, and you’ll collaborate closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure best practices and standards are upheld.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Achieve• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of network services, tools, and infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.• Engineer scalable, automated network solutions using Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, AWS, GCP, and Azure, with a focus on hybrid and multi-cloud deployments.• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using DevOps tools like Puppet and Terraform, ensuring configuration consistency and preventing drift.• Develop and manage Network DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, provisioning, and monitoring.• Automate configuration and management tasks using scripting languages and tools.• Collaborate with SRE and security teams to ensure secure, compliant, and up-to-date cloud infrastructure.• Troubleshoot complex network issues across LAN, WAN, Cloud, Internet, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), serving as a technical SME and escalation point.• Monitor network performance and design high-availability solutions with redundancy and failover mechanisms.• Evaluate and deploy next-gen technologies, including cloud-managed networks, and drive adoption of best practices.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, project objectives, and deliver strategic guidance throughout the project lifecycle.• Continuously assess existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and propose effective solutions.• Drive standardization, documentation, and automation across all network and cloud platforms.• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring with you:
- 10+ years of experience supporting high performance production environments.
- Deep expertise in WAN and routing topologies, datacenter switching architectures, firewall concepts, and traffic management technologies such as load balancing and ECMP.
- Proven experience designing and operating secure hybrid multi-cloud networks (AWS, GCP, Azure), including cloud connectivity models and infrastructure as code.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with network automation frameworks.
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible to manage network configurations at scale.
- Advanced knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including Ethernet (10/40/100/400Gbps), OSPF, BGP, Spanning Tree variants, IPSec, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, LACP, IPv6, and TCP.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Dell Force10, Arista, Citrix NetScaler, and F5 Big IP.
- Expertise in traditional and next-generation firewalls, intrusion prevention systems leveraging Cisco and Palo Alto Networks solutions.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds NPM/NCM, ExtraHop, AlgoSec, and NetBrain.
- Experience developing cloud networking infrastructure including DNS, CDNs, load balancers, VPCs, subnets, and security groups.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to document and share troubleshooting procedures effectively.
- Strong working knowledge of security frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
- Self-starter with the initiative to work independently and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues across network, OS, and application layers.
- Proven track record of leading incident response and root cause analysis across complex, distributed systems.
- Familiarity with observability platforms, dashboard creation, and actionable alerting.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and lead technical discussions with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications from major cloud platforms, Cisco, and Palo Alto
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as needed.
