Our client, a 150+ bed hospital in beautiful, sunny Northwestern AZ has an opening for a Director of Surgical Servies to join their team.

Scope & Volume
- Leadership Scope: 114 FTEs
- Surgical Volume: 9,000 annual surgical cases | 2,000 annual endoscopic procedures
- Capacity: 10 active Operating Rooms
Areas of Responsibility
- Units: Main OR, Havasu Ambulatory Surgery Center, PreOp, PACU, Preadmission Testing, Anesthesia Services, and CSPD.
- Specialties: Orthopedics, urology, OB/GYN, general surgery, plastics, ENT, neurosurgery, and podiatry.
- Multidisciplinary Staff: Surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and sterile processing technicians.
How you’ll contribute
A Surgical Services Director who excels in this role:
- Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
- Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Master’s preferred
- Arizona RN License
- 5+ years of Surgical Nursing Experience
- 1+ years Leadership Experience in Surgical Setting
