The Amadeus Cloud Services (ACS) organization, part of Platform Infrastructure Engineering (PIE), provides the cloud platform foundations that power Amadeus products worldwide. ACS delivers secure, scalable, and resilient cloud capabilities across Kubernetes, OpenShift, networking, observability, automation, storage, and operations. 

As part of a global organization, you will contribute to the design, operation, and continuous improvement of OpenShift-based platforms that enable thousands of applications to run reliably and efficiently across Amadeus. 

Summary of the role: 

As a Cloud SRE Engineer (OpenShift), you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, scalability, and operational excellence of the Amadeus cloud platform. 

You will work closely with platform engineering, operations, security, networking, and application teams to automate infrastructure, improve platform resilience, reduce operational toil, and provide a world-class Kubernetes/OpenShift experience for internal customers. 

You will leverage Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to drive platform stability, observability, automation, and continuous improvement while supporting critical production environments. 

In this role you'll: 

• Operate and continuously improve large-scale OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms. 
• Ensure platform reliability, availability, performance, and resilience through SRE practices. 
• Automate operational activities using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps methodologies. 
• Support platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, and configuration management. 
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, storage, and container platform issues. 
• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Terraform, Ansible, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and platform performance indicators. 
• Enhance observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboarding solutions. 
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure platform compliance, governance, and operational security. 
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvement initiatives. 
• Support application teams onboarding to Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms. 
• Contribute to platform engineering initiatives that improve developer experience and operational efficiency. 
• Participate in global follow-the-sun support and operational excellence programs. 

About the ideal candidate: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience. 
• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles. 
• Experience operating Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift environments in production. 
• Hands-on experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting. 
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. 
• Knowledge of CI/CD and GitOps practices. 
• Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting solutions. 
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, ingress, routing, and security. 
• Good English skills.
