Purpose of the Role
The goal is to train you on the tradeoffs between 3D printing and traditional manufacturing so you can advise customers accurately and identify better ways to quote or produce work when alternatives exist.
This role may flex between project management and shop roles depending on business needs.
PM Responsibilities
The main PM focus will be high-value in-house work, especially ITAR or controlled projects and customers.
Responsibilities may include:
- Ensuring communication between customers and the team is excellent on these high value projects.
- Helping manage parts in controlled offline workflows
- Building and maintaining documentation
- Improving workflow setup and project documentation
- Supporting quotes, customer communication, and project follow-up
- Helping with customer visits
Shop Responsibilities
The shop focus will remain on critical production work, including:
- Operating additive manufacturing equipment
- Post processing additively manufactured parts
- Liaison between the shop, project management, and logistics teams
- Quality control and testing workflows
