Salary Range: Up to ₱50,000

Work Setup: Hybrid, 2x Onsite 

Shift Schedule: Day Shift

Location: Taguig City

 

The role

The Network Applications Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting WAN optimization and enterprise network solutions, with a strong focus on Riverbed Steelhead technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network performance optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining reliable, high-performing network infrastructures across enterprise environments.

 

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Riverbed Steelhead WAN optimization solutions to improve application performance across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.
• Implement and support Cisco routing and switching infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available network connectivity.
• Configure and manage RIOS and RS WAN Optimizer technologies to optimize network traffic and application delivery.
• Monitor network health and performance using tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and other network monitoring platforms.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance issues, outages, and application latency through root cause analysis.
• Manage network-related incidents, service requests, problems, and change activities using ServiceNow (SNOW) while adhering to ITIL best practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance, software upgrades, and system health checks to ensure optimal network performance.
• Create and maintain accurate network documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, systems, security, and application teams to support enterprise IT initiatives and network improvements.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and provide timely resolution for critical network incidents.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in network engineering, WAN optimization, or enterprise network support.
• Hands-on experience with Riverbed Steelhead solutions is required.
• Strong knowledge of RIOS and RS WAN Optimizer technologies.
• Experience supporting Cisco routing and switching environments.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and performance analysis tools such as SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, or similar platforms.
• Experience managing incidents, changes, and problem records using ServiceNow (SNOW) or other ITSM tools.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, WAN technologies, and network troubleshooting methodologies.
