Job Summary
The Assembly Equipment Engineer is responsible for sustaining, optimizing, and qualifying backend assembly equipment to ensure stable operation, high product quality, and manufacturing efficiency. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support production targets.
Responsibilities
### Equipment Sustain & Troubleshooting
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) to ensure equipment uptime
- Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis
- Support production to minimize downtime and improve tool availability
### Equipment Qualification & Installation
- Perform equipment installation, setup, and mechanical/electrical checkout
- Conduct equipment qualification and ensure readiness before production release
- Collaborate with process engineers for process qualification
### Continuous Improvement (CIP)
- Drive yield improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives
- Optimize equipment parameters and operating conditions
- Implement automation or system enhancement solutions
### Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Process, Production, Quality, and Vendor teams
- Lead issue resolution and escalation when necessary
- Support audits, documentation, and compliance requirements
### EHS & Compliance
- Follow safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, EHS standards) during maintenance
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards
