What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC's People, Culture and Talent team, the Director, Workforce Strategy and Transformation leads the design, development and execution of forward-looking workforce strategies aligned to the bank's strategic priorities. As a Director, you'll shape initiatives focused on the future of work, human resources transformation, and talent strategies that support CIBC's long-term goals. You'll bring strategic thinking, thought leadership and innovation to key workforce initiatives by turning market insights and business needs into clear, actionable plans. You'll work closely with partners across the organization to build strategies that help the bank adapt to change, strengthen its workforce and deliver meaningful business outcomes. In this role, you'll influence how we reimagine work at CIBC and help position our teams for future success.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you'll succeed
Workforce Strategy Leadership - You lead the design and development of workforce strategies, including key priorities such as the future of work and new operating models, informed by industry insights and CIBC's human capital priorities.
Insight-Driven Recommendations - You conduct internal and external market research, identify emerging trends and opportunities, and translate findings into compelling insights, narratives and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
Strategic Execution - You build and advance workforce strategies that support major human capital initiatives, working closely with stakeholders across the team to align deliverables to enterprise priorities.
Transformation and Change Management - You lead large-scale transformational initiatives with a holistic change management approach, developing strategic roadmaps, tools and engagement tactics that help the organization transition effectively to the desired future state.
Executive Communication - You create clear, persuasive materials such as white papers, presentations and storyboards, and you build support for workforce strategies with executive audiences and key stakeholders.
Relationship Management - You work both independently and collaboratively, building strong relationships with internal and external partners to advance priorities and deliver impact.
Who you are
You have relevant experience. You bring a degree or diploma in Business, Human Resources or a related field, along with 7+ years of experience in human resources, talent strategy, workforce strategy, change management and/or human capital consulting.
You bring deep human capital expertise. You have strong knowledge of human resources concepts and practices, with the ability to apply that expertise to complex workforce challenges and strategic priorities.
You're a strategic thinker. You can connect market trends, business disruption and workforce needs to develop practical strategies that support long-term outcomes.
You give meaning to data. You enjoy exploring complex problems, identifying patterns and insights, and communicating detailed information in a clear and impactful way.
You're a strong communicator and relationship builder. You know how to tailor your message for different audiences, influence effectively and build trusted partnerships across teams.
