Role Description

As a Cost Manager in our Lenders & Investors division, you will provide high-quality cost management services to support financial stakeholders. You will independently assess and monitor project costs to help safeguard client investments and ensure transparency and control across the project lifecycle.

This role will suit someone with experience in MEP, technical trade engineering, data centres, and energy centres, with a strong electrical background. Experience in biotech and semiconductor projects is also highly desirable.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop, review, and manage cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Carry out independent valuations and cost assessments for lenders and investors.
• Monitor expenditure, identify cost risks, and recommend mitigation measures.
• Prepare clear and accurate financial reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and financial stakeholders to ensure robust cost reporting.
• Support due diligence, feasibility studies, and investment appraisals.
• Provide cost management input on technically complex projects, including data centres, energy centres, biotech, and semiconductor facilities.
• Review costs relating to electrical systems, MEP packages, and specialist engineering works.
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• MRICS or similar professional accreditation preferred.
• Strong experience as a Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor.
• Good understanding of lender/investor requirements, procurement, contracts, and risk management.
• Experience in MEP and technical trade engineering projects.
• Background in data centres and energy centres.
• Strong electrical background.
• Experience in biotech and semiconductor environments.
• Knowledge of the Irish construction market and regulatory environment is essential.
