Job Description:
Transports materials for delivery orders to customer sites as needed. Responsible for enforcement of transportation agreements & services, export controls and containment of domestic and int'l freight expenses. Maintains trade compliance and performs a wide variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. Coordinates and monitors workflow, assisting in scheduling and prioritizing activities in assigned logistic area. Maintains compliance with ISO 9000, IATA, OSHA, DOT, FAA, and FDA Guidelines. Performs customer service function by coordinating and interacting with internal and external customers to resolve shipping issues. May specialize in shipment of dangerous/hazardous goods.
Job Requirements:
Fulfillment of tasks assigned to the logistics department.
Receipt, issue, storage, handling, and warehousing of products in accordance with applicable SOPs and warehouse regulations.
Inspection of products upon receipt into the warehouse, labeling of products, and checks during dispatch and storage (quantity, batch number, packaging integrity).
Processing of transfer orders, packing lists, and other documentation related to warehouse operations.
Responsibility for complying with material handling and storage procedures, as well as the proper use of material-handling equipment and other warehouse technical equipment.
Responsibility for selecting appropriate transport packaging, storage methods, and product packaging. This also includes correct labeling of packages with warning signs, sender information, order number, etc.
Release of completed orders for customer shipment, following approval by the Warehouse Supervisor, and loading into prepared transportation vehicles.
Maintaining workplace cleanliness and occupational safety. Any defects or issues must be reported immediately to the supervisor. Unauthorized persons must not be allowed in the workplace.
Active cooperation with the Warehouse Supervisor, including proposing improvements and efficiency measures for workplace operations.
Performing operational tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Performing operational tasks arising from the responsibilities of the position
Requirements:
Secondary vocational education / apprenticeship certificate.
Previous experience as a Warehouse Operator / Warehouse Worker is an advantage.
Experience operating a forklift truck (FLT) is an advantage (we can arrange or renew certification).
Attention to detail, responsibility, and time flexibility.
