Human Resources Generalist
SUMMARY:
Dessert Holdings is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our manufacturing facility in Smyrna, GA. Reporting to a Sr. HR Manager, this role will serve as the onsite support partner to employees and supervisors while assisting with day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can work independently with minimal supervision, and is comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities while partnering closely with leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and supervisors at the Smyrna location
- Provide guidance and support regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, attendance, and employee concerns
- Maintain consistent communication with the Sr. HR Manager and leadership teams across both facilities
- Support employee relations matters, coaching conversations, disciplinary documentation, and workplace investigations as needed
- Maintain and update HRIS, ADP, and Time Clock Plus systems with accurate employee information
- Manage onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, I-9 completion, E-Verify, badge creation, and orientation support
- Maintain employee files and conduct audits to ensure compliance and document accuracy
- Assist with terminations, unemployment requests, and other HR administrative processes
- Support temporary workforce management, including time tracking and communication with staffing agencies
- Assist with communication boards, internal postings, engagement initiatives, and HR-related projects
- Partner with the HR team at the Kennesaw facility as business needs evolve and provide cross-location support when needed
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–5 years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or fast-paced environment preferred
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance processes
- Experience with HRIS systems, and/or timekeeping systems preferred
- Bilingual Spanish Preferred
- Haitian Creole is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build relationships with employees and leadership teams
