JOB TITLE: BUS DRIVER (Part-time)
ORGANIZATIONAL: Child Development Center
SUPERVISOR: Manager of Child Development After School & Director of Child Development Center
FLSA: Non-Exempt
PAY RANGE: $18.00-$25.00
CDL with passenger endorsement required.
CPN Child Development services personnel are assigned to provide services to clients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.
JOB SUMMARY: Driver of Multi-Function Activity bus for pickup at local public-school systems and drop off at Child Development Center. Driver for field trips. Maintain Class B CDL with passenger endorsement. Maintains cleanliness and performs required Pre-Trip / Post- Trip inspections.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Being on time and present each day as scheduled to work. Schedule is determined by the public school hours of operation.
- Available to drive the vehicle to pick up and deliver children from school or other activities.
- Performs Pre & Post – Trip inspections.
- Alerts Management to needed vehicle maintenance or repair.
- Knowledge of Bus Evacuation and perform evacuation drill twice annually.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must have CDL License with Passenger endorsement.
- Must be able to pass background check.
- Up to date DOT Exam.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must have genuine love and concern for children.
- Must be creative and have an aptitude for teaching and promoting child development.
- Ability to stay calm and even temperament in emergency situations.
- Project a positive role model.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; and visual acuity.
- Occasional lifting. (up to100)
- Check all buses before leaving Child Development Center.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
