Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist (P2) is an individual contributor and member of the Procurement team. The Procurement Specialist reports to the Senior Manager of Procurement and will have a focus on assisting the Procurement Execution team in supporting projects through the sourcing, purchasing, and organization of high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and main power transformer (MPT) Owner Supplied Equipment during development and construction.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain contacts and relationships with major equipment manufacturers and service suppliers including but not limited to HV and MV Equipment.
- Ensure competitive bids are obtained for purchase of equipment as well as service contracts and ensure the pricing is consistent with established project budgets.
- Ensure inventory of Owner Supplied Equipment is always up to date.
- Provide updates on contractual timelines and obligations.
Qualifications:
- Associates or BS in a related field
- 2+ years of experience in procurement and equipment purchasing agreements in HV experience a plus
- Experience working in an energy industry
- Detail oriented with a demonstrated high level of organization
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency when faced with important procurement issues that impact the schedule and budgets of renewable projects.
- Demonstrate excellent intrapersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate knowledge of purchase agreements and inherent contractual risks
- Able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment
Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. #LIHybrid
Physical Demands:
- Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty-pound boxes.
- Occasional travel
