DayTimeSat07:30 AM - 05:30 PMSun07:30 AM - 05:30 PMAs an Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as government buildings and government properties. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your visible patrols and strong communication skills will support a secure environment for staff and visitors.
On the Fairfax County Government Contract, we offer additional hours to our part-time officers and overtime hours to our full-time officers. We have onsite free parking and offer many promotional opportunities within the contract.

Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the different government locations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the different government locations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to assist in maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or policy violations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
- Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols and instructions from site leadership.
- Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Must have 6 months of Unarmed related experience. (Security, Law Enforcement or U.S. Military)
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess an Active VA DCJS (Will provide DCJS Training if proof of prior experience is provided)
- Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience are preferred, but will provide training if needed.
- CPR and first aid certification are preferred but will provide training if needed.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
