Brian Cox Mechanical Inc. is seeking full-time mid-level HVAC Pipefitter Journeymen.

Position Summary

A Pipefitter at BCM is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems that transport liquids, gases, and steam for heating, cooling, and other mechanical systems. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, cutting and threading pipes, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes. Pipefitters work closely with other trades to integrate piping systems into residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Coordinate with job site manager to configure pipe system layout.

· Order proper pipes and other materials.

· Select supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders.

· Assembles materials at job site.

· Pipe selection, type and size. 

· Cut, thread, and hammer pipes according to pipe system specs.

· Use of equipment such as saws, cutting torches to craft pipe size. 

· Turn off steam, water, or gas from pipe section.

· Secures pipes to walls and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.

· Secures pipes to radiators or tanks.

· Repairs and maintains pipe systems and components, ensuring problems such as obstruction or holes are resolved. 

· Dip nonferrous piping materials in molten tin and lead to prevents erosion, or galvanic and electrolytic action. 

· Removes water from flooded manholes or basements. 

· Identifies, and repairs cracks and leaks. 

· Adheres to safety standards and safety regulations. 

Requirements

• Must be able to pass drug screening.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and construction practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills.
