Diablo Valley Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to join our team!
The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors and creating meaningful activities that promote social engagement, independence, and quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and implementing daily recreational activities.
- Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
- Help organize special events, celebrations, and holiday programs.
- Provide companionship and support to residents.
- Adapt activities to meet residents' individual interests and abilities.
- Maintain activity supplies and a welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, or senior care preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality.
- Ability to work well with residents, families, and staff.
- Reliable, patient, and team-oriented.
