ME Tech - 1st Shift

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a ME Tech - 1st Shift to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI!

The hourly rate for this position is $29.35 per hour.

The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

## What you’ll do:

The Lead Manufacturing Engineering Tech involves enhancing key functional areas including Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Plant Operations.

The overall objectives for participants in the Lead Manufacturing Engineering Tech are as follows:

• Develop technical expertise and demonstrate competence in each of Eaton’s functional areas
• Expand knowledge of Eaton operations and culture
• Prepare for future role as Manufacturing Engineering position (*4 year degree required)

Following requirements for Lead Manufacturing Engineering Tech, incumbents will be excellent position within Eaton for the next step of completing a four year degree. Evaluation reviews will be done monthly for monitoring progress towards goals.

In this role, you will:

• Proactively implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and Zero
• Incident culture enforcement by demonstrating Eaton Leadership Mindset.
• Support daily production detrackers to drive to root cause in collaborative environment.
• Drive small projects to completion from the iObeya Tier 2 boards.
• Apply the usage of A3 Problem Solving.
• Co-Coordinate and monitor projects as assigned to schedule to meet close dates.
• Demonstrate understanding and basic capabilities of AutoCAD (2D plant drawings, cell layouts, etc).
• Act as a strong advocate of Lean operating principles and database decision making such as Six Sigma and SPC by obtaining GB (green belt) certification.
• Partner with Area Manufacturing Engineers (Fab/Weld & Coil Winding) to achieving department goals, objectives, projects.
• Other tasks as assigned.

## Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Requirements:

• One of the following is required:

• Associate degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 2.5 years of Utility experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of previous SAP experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Relevant experience in shop operations such as machining, assembly, fabrication required as well as manufacturing systems such as Lean, Shop Floor Control, MRP, routings, BOMs , SPC, and ISO 9000, and MS-Project.
• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with continuous improvement processes.
