Job Summary
McKee Foods is seeking an IT Asset Technician to join the Corporate IT Asset team. Become part of a team that values innovation, adaptability, and a hands-on approach. The IT Asset Technician focuses on complete end-user hardware lifecycle management—from staging and deployment to decommission—and serves as the local, hands-on point of escalation when remote Help Desk triage is unable to resolve complex desktop or hardware issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage physical hardware lifecycle processes including receiving, staging, deploying, auditing, asset tagging, and decommissioning equipment
  • Provide on-site, hands-on escalation support for workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals when remote Help Desk triage fails to resolve the issue
  • Track hardware assets, lifecycle statuses, and escalated tickets using Freshservice
  • Execute device enrollment, image deployment, and hardware provisioning utilizing Workspace ONE (WS1)
  • Deliver, install, wire, and configure physical computer setups and workstations for end users across local manufacturing and office facilities
  • Diagnose, repair, or replace failed components and research root causes for recurring hardware or system faults
  • Support corporate IT standardization efforts to maintain quality hardware support and lower total cost of ownership (TCO)

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in hands-on computer hardware assembly, repair, component replacement, and Windows/mobile device deployment.
  • Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix complex physical hardware, workstation, and peripheral failures on-site
  • Familiarity with operating in environments utilizing Google Workspace and enterprise Windows OS platforms
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or 2+ years of relevant college education (experience may substitute for degree)
  • Prior experience managing hardware inventory/assets in Freshservice (or similar ITAM systems like ServiceNow or Jira)
  • Hands-on experience with Workspace ONE (WS1) or similar Mobile Device Management (MDM) imaging/provisioning tools
  • Background in desktop support escalation, hardware repair depot, or field service engineering.
  • Exposure to basic networking (switches/routers) or secondary OS platforms (macOS/iOS/Android)

Benefits

  • Competitive weekly pay
  • Profit-sharing cash bonus program
  • 401(k) with matching contributions
  • 25 days Paid Time Off (for vacation, holidays, sick time, personal time, etc.)
  • Medical insurance, including health, dental, vision and prescription drug plan
  • Supplemental plans, including life insurance
  • Fully-paid parental leave
  • Health Center and Pharmacy
  • Mental wellness counseling (on-site in TN, virtual elsewhere)
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Credit Union
  • Exercise and recreation facility
  • Wellness programs with incentives
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Short-term and long-term disability benefits (company-paid)
