Position: Wheel Loader Operator
We are seeking for an experienced Wheel Loader Operator to join our team in Mashonaland West (Zimbabwe).
Operational Responsibilities
Operate wheel lodaders safely and efficiently to perform loading, trenching, and material handling tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
Load haul trucks, stockpiles, or crushers according to production targets and site requirements.
Conduct daily pre-start inspections and report any mechanical faults or maintenance issues promptly.
Coordinate effectively with dumper operators, dozer operators, and other equipment to maintain continuous material flow.
Follow designated loading plans, pit designs, and supervisor instructions to maintain grade control and stability.
Maintain the wheel loader clean, organized, and in good working order through regular housekeeping and lubrication checks.
Safety Responsibilities
Attend daily pre-start meetings.
Perform visual safety checks before operating machinery and promptly report defects or mechanical issues.
Operate the machine only within authorized areas and according to established safety zones.
Comply with EPSA’s safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
Immediately report any unsafe conditions, near-miss incidents, or accidents to your supervisor.
Environmental Responsibilities
Comply with EPSA’s environmental policies and practices.
Ensure operations are conducted with minimal environmental impact.
Qualifications
Secondary education certificate or equivalent.
Valid heavy equipment operating license.
Training in mine safety procedures.
At least 5 years’ experience working in remote or international locations with similar equipment.
Ability to read and interpret operational instructions.
