Deli Counter Clerk

Department: Deli
Reports to: Assistant Deli Manager, Deli Manager, and Foodservice Director

Summary

Prepares and serves food at the deli counter including juices, sandwiches, and hot bar items while providing friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and serve hot food.
• Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized.
• Follow recipes and portioning guidelines.
• Ensure proper food handling, rotation, and labeling.
• Provide excellent service and respond to customer needs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in foodservice or deli preferred.
• Customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently.
• Capable of lifting 30 lbs and standing for long periods.

Performance Expectations

• Customer Service: No incidents of three stars or less in customer reviews.
• Safety: Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Merchandising: Help the department achieve 95% or better in merchandising audits.
• Profit: Help the store meet or beat profit budget.
