  • Own the global client strategy and revenue plan for the assigned banking portfolio, driving wallet share expansion and sustainable revenue growth.

  • Identify cross-border liquidity, clearing and trade opportunities leveraging BBVA’s international network and product capabilities.

  • Maintain full commercial accountability for revenues, profitability metrics and return hurdles associated with the assigned portfolio.

  • Coordinate with Legal, Operations and onboarding teams to ensure efficient implementation of complex multi-entity banking structures.

  • Lead preparation of client pitches, indicative proposals, RFP responses, and internal deal memoranda; conduct transaction-level profitability analysis.

  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives for the Financial Institutions segment within GTB USA.

  • The role involves significant complexity due to the cross-border and multi-jurisdictional nature of global and regional banking institutions. The GBS Director must understand balance sheet management, liquidity regulations, capital constraints, correspondent banking risk frameworks and interbank funding models across different regulatory environment.

  • The position operates within a highly regulated environment and requires strong awareness of BSA/AML, KYC and correspondent banking due diligence standards. The individual acts as part of the first line of defense, balancing commercial objectives with operational, regulatory and reputational risk considerations.
