Description
The Accountant Senior is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of North America Tire’s consolidated financial statements and supporting both internal and external financial reporting processes. This role manages month-end close activities, including intercompany consolidations, inventory valuation, revenue recognition, benefits accounting, cash flow analysis, and budget-to-actual reporting. The position partners closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, and senior leadership teams to provide financial analysis, reporting, and data-driven insights that support business decision-making. Additionally, the Accountant Senior supports SEC disclosure requirements, maintains compliance with SOX controls, and helps strengthen financial governance across the organization.

- Develops financial analyses and executive-level reporting that help senior management evaluate performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Supports regulatory compliance and corporate governance through SOX controls, audit support, and financial disclosure activities, helping mitigate risk and maintain financial transparency.
What You Will Do
- Perform month-end close and financial reporting activities, including intercompany consolidations, inventory valuation, revenue recognition, benefits accounting, and balance sheet analysis.
- Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to provide supplier research, spending analysis, working capital insights, and financial support for business initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver recurring financial reports, analyses, and planning support for monthly, quarterly, and annual business processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance requirements.
- Develop financial analyses and presentations for senior and executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and performance evaluation.
- Support external reporting and disclosure requirements, including 10-Q and 10-K filings, while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Document, test, and maintain SOX controls and collaborate with auditors to support regulatory compliance and financial governance efforts.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Two or more years of experience in accounting, auditing, or financial analysis, preferably within a large corporate, manufacturing, or public accounting environment.
- Whats Sets You Apart
- Experience applying accounting principles, financial reporting processes, internal controls, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP, and financial reporting and analysis tools, along with strong communication and analytical skills.
