Meet the Team
Join Cisco's Intersight Quality Engineering team, a globally distributed group across the United States and India focused on delivering reliable cloud-based management experiences for modern data centers. The team brings together engineers with experience ranging from emerging talent to more than 20 years across Cisco UCS, servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies. We work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Technical Marketing, Customer Support, Services, and customer teams. Our culture values collaboration, continuous learning, technical curiosity, and shared accountability for customer outcomes. You will join an environment where rigorous testing, thoughtful automation, and hands-on infrastructure work directly influence product quality.
Your Impact
Lead end-to-end quality engineering for cloud-based management software by defining test priorities, creating test plans, executing functional and regression coverage, and building sustainable automation. Partner with developers and cross-functional teams throughout the Agile lifecycle to identify, debug, and drive defects to resolution while representing quality in planning and sprint reviews. Build and maintain Python-based automated tests using existing frameworks, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and tools such as Selenium WebDriver. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco UCS environments—including Fabric Interconnects, chassis, blade and rack servers, adapters, operating systems, Nexus Ethernet switches, and Fibre Channel infrastructure—to validate realistic customer scenarios. Improve release confidence and customer experience by influencing feature design, expanding testability, and delivering clear, data-driven quality assessments.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of software quality-assurance experience validating data-center technologies, including servers, storage, networking, or virtualization.
- Hands-on experience planning and executing functional, integration, system, and regression testing for enterprise software or infrastructure products.
- Experience validating SaaS enterprise software or cloud infrastructure, including exposure to microservices-based architectures.
- Proficiency in Python, object-oriented design, test-automation frameworks, Git, and browser automation using Selenium WebDriver or equivalent tools.
- Hands-on ability to configure and troubleshoot Cisco UCS or comparable infrastructure, including rack and blade servers, chassis, adapters, Ethernet switching, and Fibre Channel environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification in Data Center, Enterprise, or a related networking discipline.
- Experience with Cisco UCS servers, Fabric Interconnects, and Cisco Nexus 9000 Series switches.
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working with AWS, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience debugging complex end-to-end issues across hardware, operating systems, networks, storage, and cloud-management services.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across geographically distributed engineering and product teams and communicate quality risks clearly.
