Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Expeditor plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring the accurate and timely flow of food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house team. This position supports smooth kitchen operations, effective communication, and consistent service standards as defined by outlet expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLC.
- Set up, maintain, and break down the expediting station in compliance with expected business volume and health code regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients and presentation standards.
- Monitor and manage the flow of orders through Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) or printed tickets.
- Assist in the final preparation of dishes, including garnishing and quality checks.
- Communicate special requests, modifications, and allergy alerts clearly to the culinary team.
- Assemble completed orders in the correct sequence for pick-up by service staff.
- Confirm the accuracy and completeness of all orders before they are delivered to guests.
- Ensure timely delivery of food orders to guests by coordinating with service staff and food runners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Adhere to all departmental and company policies, procedures, and internal controls, as well as applicable government regulations.
- Attend required training sessions and departmental meetings.
- Maintain a professional, polished appearance and provide exceptional internal service to fellow team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and touch-screen technology.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication skills with a commitment to guest service excellence.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Previous server and/or culinary experience.
- Food Handler certification.
- ServSafe certification.
- TIPS Alcohol Certification.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Frequent movement throughout food and beverage and hospitality environments.
- Exposure to loud noises, chemicals and fumes, and work safety hazards.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Requires physical mobility, agility, balance, coordination, and endurance throughout assigned shifts.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers requiring dexterity.
- Requires sustained concentration and ability to work under time pressure.
- Frequent verbal communication with guests, team members, and culinary staff.
- Requires the ability to see, distinguish colors, hear, smell, taste, and use sense of touch as part of food service operations.
Schedule
- Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality and entertainment industry, team members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
- Travel is not required for this position.
