**Eligibility for this position is limited to nationals who are residing and authorized to work without a work permit in BermudaPwC Bermuda is seeking an experienced and forward-looking Human Capital Manager to lead high-quality people operations and recruitment delivery across the firm. Reporting to the Territory Human Capital Lead, this role is central to supporting an efficient, well-controlled and people-centered Human Capital service, translating firm and regional priorities into clear l processes, reliable data and responsive support for our people and leaders.
You will support a broad portfolio spanning employee lifecycle operations, recruitment, Workday and data governance, payroll and benefits coordination, performance-cycle delivery, compliance, employee engagement and professional development programmes. You will lead and coach team members, build trusted relationships across the business and use technology and automation thoughtfully to improve quality, insight and employee experience.
What you will do
Oversee Workday and employee-data governance, using reports and exception monitoring to improve accuracy and address downstream impacts across payroll and other people systems.
Manage Human Capital payroll inputs, benefits administration, leave processes and employee lifecycle controls, ensuring deadlines, approvals and supporting evidence are complete.
Operationally lead annual and mid-year performance cycles, including system readiness, data validation, manager follow-up, compensation-cycle support, documentation and issue escalation.
Oversee probation, employee-change and departure processes, ensuring communications, documentation, Workday actions and handovers are timely and consistent.
Own the Human Capital compliance calendar and evidence model across employee files, recruitment and onboarding checks, immigration records, payroll approvals, benefits records, policy reviews and sensitive-data handling.
Assist with management and oversight for the recruitment function.
Coach and quality-review recruitment team members, clarify handoffs between Recruitment, Human Capital Operations, immigration and onboarding, and ensure hiring activity is appropriately documented, compliant and responsive to business needs.
Provide operational governance for HeadStart, student and associate programmes, professional registrations and CPA Bermuda coordination, including budgets, travel, study support and tracking.
Lead an inclusive annual employee engagement programme, coordinating wellbeing, recognition, social, sports and culture-building activities with committees, Marketing and business stakeholders.
Manage event plans, budgets, vendors, communications, participation insights and feedback so employee activities are well controlled and aligned with business priorities.
Lead process improvement and responsible for redesign across high-volume or high-risk activities such as recruitment reporting, onboarding, letters, payroll validation, departures, Workday exceptions and management reporting.
What you will bring
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Human Resources, Business, Operations, Data and Analytics or a related discipline.
Significant Human Capital/HR operations experience, ideally within professional services, financial services, a regulated environment or a multi-territory organisation.
Demonstrated ownership of employee lifecycle operations, Workday or an equivalent HRIS, payroll and benefits coordination, performance-cycle delivery and compliance controls.
Experience managing or overseeing recruitment delivery, including requisitions, candidate pipelines, sourcing, interviews, recruitment reporting, agencies, candidate experience and offer-to-onboarding handoffs.
Experience leading, coaching, delegating to and reviewing the work of team members, with the ability to create clear ownership and resilient coverage.
Strong judgement and discretion when managing sensitive employee matters, confidential data, competing priorities, and complex cross-functional stakeholders.
Advanced Microsoft 365 capability, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and workflow tools, with the confidence to use Copilot or GenAI responsibly where permitted.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare employee communications, process notes, leadership updates and options-based recommendations.
Experience that would set you apart
Professional HR certification or formal training in Human Resources, project management, process improvement, data analytics or change delivery.
Strong Workday administration, reporting, data-validation or business-process troubleshooting experience.
Experience improving recruitment operations through workflow design, sourcing technology, reporting, automation or responsible AI use.
Experience leading employee engagement programmes, including annual calendars, budgets, vendors, communications, participation tracking and feedback.
Experience operating across immigration, professional memberships, student programmes or multi-territory Human Capital processes.
