As a Security Officer Armed Security Operations in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government law enforcement environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to authorized personnel and visitors at a government law enforcement location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed, documenting relevant observations, incidents, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain professional communication with law enforcement personnel, visitors, and members of the public while supporting a secure and orderly environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Have two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
