As Finite Planner, Scheduler & Buyer you will be responsible for generating, facilitating & optimizing a site specific production plan, schedule and purchasing in agreement with Operations and other stakeholders. This will be based on available capacity and materials, in line with the agreed upon S&OP volume and Project schedule, while ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled. The plan will be a monthly production plan by week based upon Global Planning input, site capacity and material & labor availability. You will collaborate with global procurement, project team, logistics, quality, asset management and customer service to ensure material and service availability to meet the finite production plan and provide inputs to the Global S&OP process and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include

Finite Planner, Scheduler

Production Planning

  • Develop and manage the master production schedule for the manufacturing site

  • Responsible for scheduling, sequencing, prioritization and monitoring production performance for a all manufacturing processes at the site

  • Lead weekly cross-functional meetings with customer service, operations, product management teams to provide status of customer orders

  • Partner with Production, Quality, & Logistics teams to ensure production schedules/timelines are met while meeting monthly shipment/financial plans

  • Develop & report production, planning, supply chain effectiveness related KPI’s & metrics

  • Drive accountability for execution across all stakeholders/contributors through weekly meetings, KPI monitoring & reporting.

  • Identify constraints or inefficiencies in the process and propose continuous improvement actions to improve supply chain effectiveness

Sales and Operations Planning

  • Attend Sales & Operations Planning demand and supply meetings, led by global portfolio planners, to understand upcoming priority changes, and speak to key contributors for previous month’s production execution (supply/capacity constraints, production downtime, canister/cylinder availability, RM inventory levels etc.)

  • Provide “what-if scenario” planning analysis to support customer allocation decisions

  • Monitor and evaluate weekly/monthly operational results (on time shipments, inventory record accuracy etc.) 

  • Collaborate with global portfolio planners to maintain ERP master data (lead times, bill of materials, lot size, etc.) while driving inventory accuracy

  • Work under limited supervision with significant responsibility for efficiency of operations.

  • Work on complex issues requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Material Planning

  • Collaborate with portfolio planners to maintain sufficient raw material levels at the site

  • Act as a support for global portfolio planners and enter purchase requisitions for raw materials on an as needed basis

  • Coordinate with Asset Manager and Operations to provide canisters in alignment with material plan 

Process Improvement

  • Support development and implementation of improved planning systems (MRP, APS)

  • Work with other planners to cross train and develop backup coverage for each other

  • Writing of SOP’s, SWI’s, scheduling guidelines and competencies for finite planning & scheduling

  • Drive and replicate supply chain operational excellence and best practices across multiple sites

Buyer

Key Responsibilities

  • Order and/or facilitate the ordering of raw material, inventory, goods and services

  • Prepare incoterms for international vendors

  • Perform MK denial for international vendors

  • Coordinate with Production management and Planning to align purchases to meet production plans

  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule (includes demonstrated ability to expedite purchases when required)

  • Maintains vendors, vendor approvals, vendor assessments, vendor evaluations and vendor specifications.

  • Reviews and processes purchase requisitions and creates purchase orders in the ordering system 

  • Co-work with ALAM US procurement team to establish strategy and execute for the strategic purchasing

  • Contract management with external vendors, collaborating with internal requesters and the Legal.

  • Manages vendors performance as per ISO standards.

  • Support the development and implementation of the purchasing ordering system, vendor management system and ERP 

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management including supply chain planning/scheduling in a complex manufacturing environment. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in using office applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel or equivalent Google applications

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capability and proficient in analyzing data, interpreting production forecasts, and making data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field

  • Experience in Chemicals industry

  • Experience in or supporting the electronics industry

  • Experience using Advanced Planning and Scheduling systems - SAP S/4 HANA

  • APICS certification is preferred
