Job Title

Operations Officer (Bundoora)

Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for an Operations Officer (Bundoora) to join the Services & Infrastructure Department at Australia’s pre-eminent biomedical research institute.

About the Position

The Operations Officer is a broad, hands-on operational role responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day running of the Institute's Bundoora site. Reporting through the Facilities & Operations team, the position provides integrated on-site support across both Facilities & Operations and Logistics & Services, reflecting the diverse operational needs of a small research site.

The role coordinates a wide range of site-based activities, including facilities operations, reception and visitor services, laboratory preparatory services, warehouse and logistics support, workplace health and safety, and contractor coordination. Working closely with the Operations Coordinator, Manager Logistics & Services, Preparation Services Supervisor and other operational teams, the Operations Officer helps ensure the site remains safe, compliant, functional and responsive to the needs of staff, researchers, contractors and visitors.

In addition to on-site operational responsibilities, the role provides administrative, procurement, records management and reporting support across the Institute's satellite sites, maintaining accurate operational documentation, supporting compliance activities and contributing to consistent service delivery across the wider network.

As a key on-site operational contact, the Operations Officer works across multiple functional areas, responds to changing operational priorities, and contributes to the continuous improvement of facilities, logistics and workplace services that support the Institute's research and business operations.
