Your opportunity
Scandit is looking for an Order Management Operations & Transformation Lead to join the Order to Cash team
This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role combining ownership of complex SaaS bookings with responsibility for transforming and scaling the booking process. The role does not have direct people management responsibility, but will provide functional leadership, guidance, and mentoring across Order Management.
The position is suitable for an experienced SaaS Order Management specialist ready to step into a Lead role, as well as a Manager-level professional interested in a hands-on transformation and project role.
The role will lead booking process improvements, establish clear controls and operating standards, provide guidance on complex and non-standard deals, and drive automation across Order Management.
It will also act as a key operational bridge between Order Management and other Finance and Commercial functions, ensuring booking data is accurate, consistent, and supports downstream reporting and processes.
We are looking for someone with strong SaaS booking experience and hands-on Salesforce expertise who can combine operational knowledge with process transformation and systems thinking. Experience with NetSuite, automation, and AI tools is an advantage.
What You Will Do
Complex Deal Booking & Guidance
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex and non-standard SaaS bookings, including amendments, co-terms, upgrades, downsells, multi-year agreements, multi-element arrangements and other non-standard structures
- Review contractual terms and translate them into accurate booking requirements and system entries
- Partner with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal and Revenue to determine the appropriate booking treatment for complex or contested deals
- Ensure bookings accurately reflect contractual terms, subscription values and relevant commercial structures
- Build and maintain practical booking guidance and decision frameworks so complex scenarios are handled consistently
- Provide functional guidance and mentoring to colleagues on complex booking scenarios, policies and system requirements
- Provide hands-on booking support during month-end and quarter-end periods when required
Booking Process Transformation
- Own the transformation of the booking process end to end, redesigning workflows, standardising procedures and closing process and control gaps as the function scales
- Define and implement the target-state booking process, including controls, handoffs and approval points across Sales, Deal Desk and Finance
- Partner with Order to Cash and commercial stakeholders to improve policies and processes and ensure booking data supports downstream reporting and operational requirements
- Design and improve Salesforce workflows supporting the booking lifecycle
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate booking activities and reduce manual data entry
- Lead the rollout of process changes, including documentation, testing, training, runbook updates and adoption
- Establish clear booking policies, decision frameworks and operating standards to improve consistency and scalability
Order Management Operations & Controls
- Oversee end-to-end order entry and validation across Salesforce and NetSuite, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with booking policies
- Maintain and strengthen data integrity standards across CRM and ERP systems, proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues
- Ensure licence key provisioning is accurate and aligned with contractual terms
- Serve as a senior point of contact for order-related questions and escalations from Sales, Deal Desk and Finance
- Support month-end and quarter-end close, ensuring bookings are processed, reconciled and traceable on time
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support automation initiatives across booking and Order Management processes, from problem identification and requirements definition through testing and implementation
- Partner with system and technology teams to translate operational requirements into scalable solutions
- Apply AI tools, including Claude or equivalent platforms, to improve order entry, data validation, process documentation and operational workflows
- Evaluate and test new tools and approaches that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
- Ensure new processes and automation include appropriate controls and clear ownership
Who You Are
- Minimum six years of experience in order management, or a closely related role within a SaaS or subscription-based company, including exposure to complex or non-standard deal structures
- Strong understanding of the SaaS booking lifecycle and the ability to translate contractual and commercial terms into accurate bookings, including amendments, upgrades, co-terms and other contract modifications
- Hands-on Salesforce experience, with the ability to manage opportunities, orders, and records, run reports, and maintain data quality independently
- Practical knowledge of AI tools such as Claude, or equivalent, with demonstrated ability to apply them to order entry, data management, and process documentation workflows
- Demonstrated ability to lead or drive process transformation, including documenting current and future state processes and rolling out change to a wider team
- Working understanding of renewals reporting and commission processes, and how booking accuracy affects both
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy when processing structured data across multiple systems simultaneously
- Clear and precise written communication in English, with the ability to escalate issues with full context and without ambiguity
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
- Deep familiarity with SaaS business models, subscription billing, and revenue recognition concepts including licence key management
- Prior experience leading order-to-cash automation initiatives or system implementation projects
- Familiarity with revenue operations, contract management, or Deal Desk processes
- Exposure to audit, compliance, or SOX-adjacent financial controls
- Experience working with an ERP system, NetSuite experience is a strong advantage
