Your Impact

The Generator Logistics Specialist plays a key role in supporting generator operations by managing the procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics of parts, materials, rental generators, and load banks. This position is responsible for ensuring parts and equipment are sourced accurately, competitively, and on time to support field technicians, operations teams, and commercial customers.

The Generator Logistics Specialist will manage the procurement process for assigned regions across the United States, including obtaining and evaluating vendor quotes, monitoring pricing and lead times, coordinating purchase orders, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate work-order and inventory records.

This position will also support commercial accounts by coordinating parts and pricing for customer proposals and ordering approved materials. In addition, the Specialist will manage warehouse activities, including receiving, organizing, cycle counting, pulling, and shipping parts, as well as coordinating the logistics of rental generators and load banks.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Core Responsibilities

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Review parts-to-be-ordered queues and ensure required materials are sourced and ordered in a timely manner.

  • Request and evaluate vendor quotes based on price, availability, lead time, and operational requirements.

  • Prepare and submit parts orders to approved vendors.

  • Request purchase orders through GENPOR and maintain supporting quotes, order confirmations, and invoices.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors throughout the United States.

  • Identify sourcing opportunities that improve pricing, availability, and lead times while supporting Pearce's operational needs.

  • Monitor open purchase orders and proactively address delays, shortages, backorders, or other supply issues.

  • Respond promptly to urgent parts and material requests from Operations and field technicians.

Inventory & Warehouse Operations

  • Receive incoming parts and materials and verify shipments for quantity and accuracy.

  • Add received parts to inventory and maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Maintain appropriate stock levels for commonly used parts and materials.

  • Perform regular cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

  • Properly label, organize, and stock parts and materials on warehouse shelves.

  • Pull, package, and ship parts to technicians, customers, and project locations as required.

  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipment information within applicable systems and spreadsheets.

  • Ensure warehouse activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety and OSHA requirements.

Order & Work Order Management

  • Review and maintain the Generator Parts Dashboard and associated queues to monitor all open parts orders.

  • Track incoming shipments and update work orders with current shipping and delivery information.

  • Ensure work orders are updated accurately and consistently throughout the procurement process.

  • Verify that invoices and supporting documentation are attached to the appropriate orders and match received goods.

  • Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, invoices, inventory, and outstanding items.

  • Communicate order status, delays, and potential issues to Operations and other stakeholders.

Commercial Account Support

  • Obtain vendor quotes and pricing information needed to develop commercial customer proposals.

  • Coordinate parts requirements and pricing for commercial service opportunities.

  • Order parts and materials following customer approval of commercial proposals.

  • Track customer-approved orders through delivery and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.

  • Partner with Operations, Sales, and other internal teams to support timely execution of commercial customer work.

Generator & Load Bank Logistics

  • Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of rental generators and load banks.

  • Track the location, availability, deployment, and return of rental equipment.

  • Coordinate equipment movement with Operations, technicians, vendors, and project teams.

  • Ensure rental generators and load banks are available when required to support customer and operational needs.

  • Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment rentals and logistics.

Key Performance Expectations

  • Effectively manage the procurement process for assigned regions across the United States.

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates for work orders, procurement queues, and generator parts dashboards.

  • Maintain high levels of warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and cleanliness.

  • Secure competitive pricing and appropriate lead times while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

  • Minimize procurement delays that could negatively impact technicians, projects, or customers.

  • Provide timely and accurate support for commercial customer proposals and approved parts orders.

  • Effectively coordinate rental generator and load bank logistics.

  • Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, shipment, and invoice documentation.

  • Provide responsive support to Operations and field teams.

Core Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, or supply chain preferred.

  • Understanding of basic procurement and supply-chain processes.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple orders, requests, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compare vendor pricing, availability, and lead times.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, technicians, Operations, Sales, and other internal stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn inventory, procurement, and work-order management systems.

  • Experience using inventory, ERP, purchasing, or work-order management software preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to urgent operational needs.

  • Commitment to maintaining accurate records and following established purchasing and inventory processes.

  • Ability to comply with applicable OSHA and workplace safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting generator, critical power, electrical, field service, or equipment-service operations.

  • Experience coordinating rental equipment or field-service logistics.

  • Experience working with multiple vendors and sourcing parts across multiple geographic regions.

  • Experience supporting commercial proposals, customer-approved purchases, or service-related parts procurement.

  • Familiarity with generator parts, electrical components, load banks, or related critical-power equipment.

Base Pay Range
$60,000$65,000 USD
