Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a highly detailed Provider Human Resources Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR resource for physicians, advanced practice providers, and behavioral health professionals. This role delivers high-touch, confidential support across a broad range of HR programs, including benefits administration, employment changes, payroll coordination, compliance activities, leave administration, and HRIS transactions.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to service excellence. This position works closely with providers, executive leaders, internal HR partners, Payroll, Compliance, and external vendors to ensure accurate, compliant, and seamless administration of HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle.

What You'll Do:

Provider Support & HR Administration

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for providers regarding HR programs, benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Process provider employment transactions within Workday, including organizational changes, supervisor updates, status changes, and job data updates.
  • Support complex and sensitive provider-related HR matters with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain personnel records and ensure accurate documentation and file management practices.
  • Respond to employee and provider inquiries regarding HR programs, policies, and employment processes.

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Process benefits enrollments, changes, and life events while ensuring compliance with plan rules and eligibility requirements.
  • Review and update personal information changes, including legal name changes and dependent verification documentation.
  • Educate providers on benefit plans, eligibility requirements, plan provisions, and available resources.
  • Administer tuition reimbursement programs, including eligibility review, tracking, approvals, and payment coordination.
  • Support leave of absence administration through transaction processing, documentation management, and inquiry resolution.
  • Process ACA notifications, Medicare forms, loan forgiveness documentation, and other benefit-related transactions as required.

Payroll, Data Management & Reporting

  • Review and process compensation-related transactions, including merit increases, market adjustments, and bonuses.
  • Research and resolve payroll, benefits, HRIS, and employee data discrepancies.
  • Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports supporting HR, benefits, payroll, tuition reimbursement, HSA activity, and other HR programs.
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy across Workday and related HR systems.

Compliance, Auditing & Data Integrity

  • Conduct regular audits of HRIS transactions, benefits administration, payroll-related data, and open business processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance across all transactions.
  • Support annual Open Enrollment planning, testing, and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, HR regulations, and documentation standards.
  • Identify risks, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities through ongoing auditing and review activities.

Vendor & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with internal HR teams, Payroll, Tax, Compliance, Accounts Payable, and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Coordinate with benefits vendors, healthcare providers, COBRA administrators, and other external partners to support provider and employee needs.
  • Support tax reporting activities through data validation and information retrieval.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders while providing responsive, service-focused support.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance the provider experience.
  • Participate in projects supporting HR Shared Services transformation, process documentation, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the development of standard work, job aids, and process improvements.

General Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Payroll Administration, HR Shared Servies, or related administrative operations. Experience working with HRIS systems, preferably Workday
