What You'll Do
As an EMT, you'll provide basic life support care, assist with patient assessments, and ensure the safe transport of patients while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing emergency and non-emergency patient care and transportation
- Assessing patient conditions and assisting with treatment within scope of practice
- Supporting Paramedics and other healthcare professionals during patient care
- Safely operating ambulances and transporting patients
- Collaborating with hospitals, healthcare facilities, and first responders
- Completing accurate and timely patient care documentation
- Maintaining ambulance cleanliness, readiness, and equipment accountability
- Following all clinical, operational, and safety protocols
- Participating in continuing education and training opportunities
Clinical Environment
Team members may have opportunities to care for a diverse patient population across a variety of transport settings, including:
- Emergency and urgent patient transports
- Interfacility transfers
- Hospital discharges
- Skilled nursing facility and specialty transports
- Support of advanced and critical care transportation teams
Equipment & Technology
Our crews are supported with advanced equipment and technology, including:
- Stryker PowerPro XT powered cots
- Physio-Control LIFEPAK 15 cardiac monitors
- Sapphire infusion pumps
- Ventec VOCSN ventilators
- Vapotherm high-flow therapy systems
- Video laryngoscopy equipment
- iGel airway devices
- Electronic patient care reporting (ePCR)

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Texas EMT Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Preferred:
- EMS transport experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment safely, with or without assistance
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
- Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions
- Ability to perform duties in physically and emotionally demanding situations
