Job Summary
The Logistics Manager provides oversight, coordination, and management of logistics operations supporting ILS2 Task Order execution across assigned operational areas. This role is responsible for directing and synchronizing supply support, transportation coordination, warehousing, inventory management, material accountability, equipment distribution, and sustainment activities required to support mission requirements across CONUS and OCONUS environments.
Working closely with government stakeholders, subcontractors, site personnel, and functional support teams, the Logistics Manager ensures logistics resources are effectively prioritized, operational requirements are met, and sustainment activities are executed efficiently. The position monitors logistics performance, supports operational readiness, and drives continuous improvement efforts to maintain responsive and reliable logistics support. Through effective leadership and coordination, the Logistics Manager contributes to mission success by ensuring the timely availability, movement, and accountability of mission-critical resources.
This position is contingent upon award of the contract.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for logistics operations supporting ILS2 Task Order mission requirements.
- Direct and synchronize logistics activities, including supply support, transportation coordination, warehousing, inventory management, material accountability, equipment distribution, and sustainment operations.
- Coordinate logistics support activities among government stakeholders, subcontractors, site personnel, and functional support teams to ensure mission alignment and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor logistics performance, resource utilization, operational readiness, and mission support requirements across assigned operational areas.
- Prioritize resource allocation and support resolution of logistics challenges affecting mission execution and sustainment activities.
- Develop and implement logistics procedures, operational schedules, reporting processes, and corrective action plans to improve logistics performance and efficiency.
- Review logistics metrics, analyze operational trends, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Coordinate with supply chain, transportation, warehousing, and sustainment personnel to ensure continuity of operations and timely support delivery.
- Ensure logistics operations comply with applicable policies, safety requirements, security procedures, and program management guidance.
- Prepare status reports, readiness updates, performance assessments, and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and 10-12 years of experience.
- Experience managing logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, sustainment, or supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of logistics management principles, material accountability processes, transportation coordination, inventory control, and sustainment operations.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities across multiple organizations and stakeholder groups.
- Experience monitoring operational performance and implementing process improvements.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-focused operational environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting DoD, federal government, logistics, sustainment, contingency, or operational support programs.
- Knowledge of military logistics operations, deployment support, inventory accountability, and readiness reporting processes.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed logistics operations across CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Familiarity with logistics information systems, warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, or ERP platforms.
- Experience supporting contingency operations, expeditionary environments, or high-visibility mission programs.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar credentials.
Prior military service or military logistics experience.
: The expected salary range for this position in Hawaii is $102,600 - $153,900 (update as required). Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, work location, and other job-related factors. This range is provided in accordance with Hawaii pay transparency requirements and applies to candidates working in Hawaii.
